Information about the Welsh Lovecakes Bakery

You’ve heard of Welsh Lovespoons? You’ve heard of Welshcakes? Well, now you can have all the love of a spoon with all the taste of a cake! Welsh LoveCakes are the most delicious cakes in Wales – well, we think so!

The Company

The Welsh LoveCakes Bakery strives to achieve a high level of quality in our cakes and pastries; where possible raw materials and ingredients are procured from local sources. We employ 23 staff from all over South Wales, half of which have worked with us since our humble beginnings.

Our History

We’ve been hand-crafting Welsh LoveCakes in hour family-run business since 1987. Grandma Gwenda’s grandchildren loved her cakes so much, they decided she needed to share the love with the rest of the world, and the love cake was born. Since then, LoveCakes have been sold in six different countries. Even now, despite the numbers of cakes we bake, each one is hand finished by one of our team of highly skilled bakers.

We’d like to tell you about our bakers, but it would take far too long to mention all the skills and qualifications of all of them. Suffice to say they all work very hard, and they’re always very happy!
